Captain "Jo" Jodee Henderson
Captain Jo, also known as Chelsea Jo, became part of the Chelsea family in 2024. She is the full time captain of the Chelsea IV. Jo grew up on Lake Erie and started her career first mating on many charter boats in the western basin. She had the drive to continue on from a first mate and obtained her captains license. While she grew up drift fishing, she has become quite the troller. Captain Jo is very patient and strives to make sure everyone have a good time. Everyone loves "Chelsea Jo". Her dog Atlas has stolen Jo's heart and everyone on the dock. You can often catch him relaxing in the captain seat helping his mom at the dock. He does work for treats!
Captain Zachery Doust
Captain Zac truly is a jack of all trades, we have yet to find something he cant do. You may have fished with Zac before as a mate but in 2024 (long overdue) Zac became a USCG licensed captain and we couldn't be more excited to have him run our boats. Drifting or trolling he does it all! He has the patience of a saint and is a phenomenal teacher. Zach has Red bull in he veins and never stops working, even taking the lead in over hauling the Chelsea IV over the winter. We truly cannot thank Zac and Lindsey,his longtime girlfriend, enough for all the long hours he puts in for Chelsea.
Captain Chris Overfield
Captain Chris has been a licensed captain for over 5 years. Captain Chris is a drifter through and through and loves breaking down the basics to catch fish. Don't let that fool you though, he will troll or do whatever it takes to put you on the fish and give you the best experience possible on Lake Erie. Chris has started a little family with girlfriend Mellisa, his son Hayes, and dog Lucy.
Captain Joshua Sanford
Chances are you talked to him to book your trip. Josh is a part time Captain and runs "The Mistress" While keeping his full time conductor job at the railroad he manages to always find time to fish and hunt. Josh grew up on Lake Erie where he gained his passion for fishing and wants to pass that experience on to our customers to make sure they have the best time possible on your lake Erie fishing trip.
Captain Wes Hymore
Captain Wes runs full time sister company Snipes Sport Fishing. We are all one big family! Wes has many rolls other than being a husband, father and grandfather. If he is not fishing he is Wes the concrete guy and playing the drums for the band Bar Code. Wes works all the time! So you bet he will work just as hard at putting you on the fish, and he will teach you the basics and so much more to help keep you entertained all day while getting you a cooler full of fish!
Captain Eli Dominguez
Captain Eli is a part time Captain and now fills in when needed. We are beyond grateful to have him on our team. Eli has a beautiful little family and enjoys spending time with them and hunting. When you book with Chelsea you can guarantee to see him at the dock ready to put you on some Lake Erie Walleye! Eli has been a Captain for over 5 years but grew up on Lake Erie first mating on a boat from a young age. You can bet Eli will do his best to teach how to troll or cast. He will make sure you have the best time possible fishing with us.
Captain Jeff Bauer "Rizzo"
Captain Rizzo is forever in our hearts and we are beyond grateful for the short time we got to spend with him. We Love and miss you every Captain Rizzo.
Captain Rizzo is the full time captain of the Miss Chelsea. Rizzo has been fishing Lake Erie walleye for many years and is a jack of all trades. He is our expert when it comes to drift fishing, the old school way of catching walleye. Not only does he drift fish but he also knows how to troll and make sure everyone has a great time doing it.
